OUR PURPOSE & GOALS

Highview Hymns is a new project coordinated by worship leader, Heath Walton. This project will begin simply as worship album releases. The goal is for Vol. 1 to release by January 2016. It will feature 9 originial songs (+1 bonus traditional song) written for use by the congregation in worship. With each release, the hope is to give the church even more theologically sound, and yet singable songs for corporate worship. In the future, the goal is to also release a Psalter (songs sung directly from the Psalms). Another goal is to also include other current hymn writers in future projects. Be in prayer, as well, for the project of classic hymns that is desired to be released by the Fall of 2015. The plan is for this to be an EP, and to give a preview of what is to come. We ask that you pray for this project, that God would be glorified and the church would be edified.

MEET THE HYMN WRITERS

Heath Walton- Heath Walton is an Associate Pastor at Sargent Baptist Church in Newnan, Georgia. He has a degree in Church Music from the University of Mobile, and is currently pursuing an M.Div. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary- North Georgia Campus. He is a published contemporary worship songwriter, and has turned his attention to congregational worship.
